 The 72nd Annual Academy Awards
were announced on March 26th in a Glittering Ceremony, which went around for 4 hours.
Hollywood's favourite stars were present in that function.
As expected the film American Beauty
which was nominated in eight categories, led the front by winning 5 Oscars that of Best
Picture, Best Actor in leading role, Best Director, Original Screenplay and Best
Cinematography.
The film Matrix won most of the
technical awards by capturing four awards that of Film Editing, Sound, Sound Effects
Editing and Visual Effects Editing. By this it had won all the awards nominated for.
The most disappointment of this years Oscars is Indian
origin Manoj Night Shyamalan's Sixth Sense which was nominated
for 6 Oscars and expected to win some awards, failed to get one. Another Film The
Insider which was also nominated for 7 categories didn't get one. |
